Physical Therapist — Personalized Care, Autonomy, and Room to Grow

Full Life Physical Therapy, LLC | Aiken, South Carolina

We’re seeking an exceptional physical therapist for a unique and fulfilling opportunity to help shape a growing practice.

You bring sound clinical judgment, impeccable character, and the ability to earn people’s trust. You take pride in helping clients succeed, and you want the time and freedom to provide the care you would want for yourself or your family.

If you’ve found yourself questioning rushed visits, rigid treatment expectations, or business decisions that get in the way of thoughtful care, you will likely feel at home here. We’re looking for someone who thinks critically, communicates well, and takes ownership of making care better.

Full Life Physical Therapy is a small, cash-based mobile practice serving primarily older adults in their homes and community settings around Aiken County. Our work combines skilled physical therapy, wellness, and practical health and fitness coaching to help people recover, build resilience, and live fuller lives.

Our goal is to build a lasting relationship with a clinician who may grow into full-time employment. The initial arrangement is flexible and will likely start at part-time or PRN independent contracting while we establish mutual fit and develop your caseload. Clinicians seeking an ongoing part-time or PRN role are also welcome to apply.

Initial visits will include selected established clients to support onboarding and feedback, followed by a caseload built primarily through new clients and people on our waitlist. We’ll work together to develop that caseload around your availability, location, and strengths.

The work

Our clients want to live a full life, and we help them work toward that. Whether their goal is to walk confidently, recover from an injury, build strength, reduce falls, or stay active with friends and family, Full Life PT provides the care, guidance, and encouragement to help them succeed.

You’ll provide skilled physical therapy and wellness services, as appropriate, with an emphasis on function, balance, resilience, and long-term health. Many clients have multiple health conditions, so the work calls for sound clinical judgment and the ability to make recommendations practical for everyday life.

Education and coaching are central to this role. We’re looking for someone who can explain what matters, understand what motivates each client, and help them follow through.

  • Evaluations typically last 60–90 minutes; follow-up visits typically last 60 minutes.
  • Care is exclusively one-on-one unless a client requests otherwise.
  • You have the ability to arrange your schedule directly with clients.
  • Your core responsibilities are evaluating, treating, scheduling, and documenting. Additional roles you may fill can be discussed, with appropriate compensation provided.
  • We’ll work together to develop a geographically practical caseload in and/or around Aiken, SC.
What makes someone a good fit

Integrity and trustworthiness. Entering someone’s home is a privilege. You respect their privacy, follow through on commitments, acknowledge your limits, and represent the practice with care.

Excellent communication. You listen well, explain recommendations clearly, and help clients feel understood and motivated. You can communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and other professionals.

A calm, steady approach. You can answer difficult questions, discuss sensitive concerns, and navigate competing priorities while remaining respectful and composed.

A service mindset. Service to others is central to who we are and how we work. We want to understand what gives your work meaning, why this profession matters to you, and how we can support you in living out that calling.

You should be comfortable working independently, asking for help when needed, and taking ownership of your work. Professional presentation, appropriate hygiene, dependable communication, reliable transportation, and pride in a job well done are expected.

Experience working with older adults and people with complex medical histories is valuable. We’ll also consider an exceptional new graduate with relevant prior healthcare, customer support, sales, or other experience that demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and judgment.

We paticularly welcome clinicians with specialty training, certifications, or areas of particular interest—such as LSVT BIG, vestibular rehabilitation, or board certifications (GCS, NCS, OCS, etc.). We want to understand the skills you bring and the work you enjoy, then help develop a caseload where you can put those strengths to use. Specialty credentials are valued but are certainly not required.

An active South Carolina PT license and reliable transportation for mobile visits are required.

What you can expect from us

  • Time to provide thoughtful, individualized care in a cash-based model.
  • Flexibility to arrange visits around your availability and commitments outside work.
  • Practice infrastructure and administrative support, allowing you to focus on client care and documentation.
  • Access to the practice owner for clinical collaboration, mentorship, and joint visits when appropriate.
  • A willingness to invest in your knowledge and skills.
  • Opportunities to explore additional responsibilities and compensation as your interests and the practice’s needs develop.

Our priorities are straightforward: take care of clients, take care of clinicians, and grow the business sustainably. We want work to support a full life, including time for family and the things that matter to you.

Compensation and growth

We’ll develop a compensation arrangement together that reflects your experience, responsibilities, travel requirements, and priorities while supporting a sustainable practice. Per-visit compensation, mileage reimbursement, professional development support, and other arrangements are open for discussion.

Visit volume and scheduling will be discussed during the interview, with room to grow based on your comfort, capacity, and goals.

We want to understand what makes an opportunity work well for you—including the commitments you have outside work.

Let’s talk

Choosing a small practice is a meaningful decision for both of us. The interview should help you understand how we work and help us understand what you want from your next role.

Send your résumé and a brief introduction to Logan@FullLifeCSRA.com. Tell us what appeals to you about this model, what experience you would bring, and your preferred availability. Please include any specialty interests or skills you’d like to use or develop.
