ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Training & Development Focus
- Designs, delivers, and evaluates training programs for all Cage personnel on operational procedures, compliance requirements, and customer service standards.
- Conducts ongoing coaching sessions to reinforce best practices and improve individual and team performance.
- Provides hands-on training during live operations, ensuring team members learn by observing and practicing in real-time scenarios.
- Maintains updated training materials, manuals, and job aids to reflect changes in regulations, systems, or processes.
- Monitors transactions and documentation to ensure compliance with gaming regulations, company policies, and applicable laws.
- Supervises Cage activities and personnel during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to procedures.
- Ensures accurate accounting of Cage transactions and proper verification/documentation.
- Investigates and reports any variances, taking corrective action as needed.
- Oversees the Cage check cashing process, including application processing, auditing, and NSF resolution.
- Works closely with the Cage Manager to maintain appropriate staffing levels and schedules to meet business needs.
- Coordinates with other departments to ensure operational alignment and efficiency.
- Serves as a backup for cage and cashiering staff when necessary, modeling proper execution of tasks for training purposes.
- Trains staff on handling guest interactions, ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience.
- Addresses guest complaints and disputes professionally, using each situation as a learning opportunity for staff.
- Fosters a positive, team-oriented work environment built on respect, trust, and open communication.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment, modeling proper standards for the team.
- Ensures staff adhere to uniform, nametag, and Gaming License requirements.
- Ensures all responsibilities are performed in compliance with federal/state regulations, the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, and internal policies.
- Completes all required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Supports special projects as assigned.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of recent and related Cage experience.
- Knowledge of Cage and Count Room operations, the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Colorado Limited Gaming regulations, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, and all internal policies and procedures or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in problem-solving, organizing, and prioritizing work. Demonstrated experience supervising and motivating staff.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) or more years of related casino experience or equivalent.
- One (1) or more years of cage cashier experience.
