What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Design Field Coordinator position at Full House Construction & Design?
Job Overview
The Field Coordinator supports the Director of Construction Operations across scheduling, drafting/design, procurement, materials management, and subcontractor coordination for high-end residential remodel and construction projects. This role is designed to be run primarily from the office/desktop — as a command-center function coordinating jobs via JobTread, phone, and email — with field visits as job needs require rather than on a fixed schedule.
This is a billable-facing position. A meaningful majority of this role's time is expected to be logged against specific jobs and billed accordingly, either directly (cost-plus jobs) or built into project estimates (bid jobs). Utilization expectations are outlined below — this is not a purely administrative or overhead position, and job performance will be measured in part against billable hour targets. Success in this role is measured by billable output, JobTread and Chief Architect plan accuracy.
Essential Responsibilities
- Field Schedule Management — manage and update schedules for active jobs
- Global Schedule Tracking and Awareness — maintain visibility across all active jobs company-wide
- Drafting (Chief Architect) — produce plans, elevations, and details per specifications provided by the DoCO or CEO
- Product Procurement — order materials and products for active jobs
- Materials Management — coordinate delivery, staging, and job-site logistics for materials
- Subcontractor Support — assist Field Managers with subcontractor coordination
- General Support — assist the DoCO with daily needs and duties as assigned
- Pre-Construction Scope of Work — document job scope details as provided by the DoCO ahead of contract
- JobTread Dashboard Management — maintain and review all required fields on the Job Dashboard for every job
Required Tools & Systems Proficiency
- Chief Architect — working proficiency in drafting plans, elevations, and construction details
- Microsoft Office Suite — Word, Excel, Powerpoint at a professional working level
- JobTread — daily use for scheduling, cost coding, time entry, and dashboard management. 1 years of experience with JobTread or a similar system is required.
Field Requirement
Field work as required to support active job sites, Field Managers, and subcontractor coordination — not a fixed weekly minimum. This role is designed to be run primarily from the office/desktop via JobTread, phone, and email, with field presence as job needs dictate rather than on a set schedule.
Billable Utilization Expectation
This role is structured around two categories of work:
- Design/Drafting (Chief Architect work)
- Field & Project Coordination (procurement, materials management, sub support, scheduling, JobTread dashboard work)
Time not logged against a specific job (general administrative work, company-wide scheduling awareness, ad hoc support for the DoCO not tied to a job) is understood as a smaller share of the week and should be the exception, not the default, for how time is spent.
