Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities, enforcing safety protocols, and responding promptly to incidents. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to handle challenging situations with confidence. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued, along with certifications in first aid and CPR. The Security Officer plays a crucial part in maintaining a safe environment for all employees and visitors.

Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the facility using CCTV surveillance systems and physical inspections to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to detect suspicious activity or breaches in security.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, including medical emergencies requiring first aid or CPR if necessary.
• Enforce access control procedures by checking identification and issuing visitor passes.
• Manage conflict situations professionally through conflict management techniques, ensuring minimal escalation.
• Document incidents accurately and prepare detailed reports for management review.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing and deterring theft or vandalism.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies when required.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff with directions or inquiries while maintaining security protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred.
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are highly desirable.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and alarm monitoring is advantageous.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to enforce rules effectively while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to respond quickly and appropriately during emergency situations.
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and stand for extended periods.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
