We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Medical Scribe to assist our orthopedic provider in documenting patient encounters efficiently and accurately. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on medical experience in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Accurately document patient visits, including medical history, physical exams, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Assist physicians with charting in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Organize and manage medical documentation for efficiency and accuracy.
- Communicate with providers and staff to ensure smooth workflow and proper patient care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a medical scribe or in a healthcare setting (preferred but not required).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, particularly in orthopedics.
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Experience with EMR systems (eClinical Works preferred)
- Bilingual preferred but not required
