About Us:

Full Circle Home Visiting is dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood services that support and empower families in New Mexico. Our mission is to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive in a nurturing environment. We are proud to be funded through the New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) to support families through the Parents as Teachers (PAT) program. PAT is an evidence-based home visiting program designed to enhance early childhood development, increase school readiness, and strengthen family support systems.

Position Summary

As a Home Visitor, you will serve as a trusted resource and advocate for families, delivering relationship-based support through regular home visits. You will partner with expectant parents and families with children ages birth to five, providing parenting education, developmental guidance, family support, and connections to community resources. This position is responsible for maintaining program fidelity, documenting services accurately, supporting family goal achievement, and promoting positive parent-child interactions that foster healthy development and school readiness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Family Engagement & Home Visiting

  • Conduct home visits with enrolled families in accordance with Parents as Teachers model requirements.
  • Maintain at least 80% completion of scheduled face-to-face home visits, either in person or virtually when appropriate.
  • Build supportive, respectful, and culturally responsive relationships with families.
  • Facilitate parent-child interaction activities that promote healthy child development and learning.
  • Provide individualized information and education related to child development, parenting practices, health, safety, and school readiness.
  • Support families in identifying strengths and establishing family-centered goals.

Child Development & Family Support

  • Complete child development screeners and family tools according to program requirements.
  • Monitor developmental milestones and family progress through ongoing observation.
  • Discuss screening results with families and coordinate referrals when concerns are identified.
  • Support families in understanding their child's development and educational needs.
  • Connect families to community resources and services that support family well-being.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation of all home visits, screenings, referrals, and family contacts.
  • Enter required data into program databases and tracking systems within established timelines.
  • Maintain confidential family records in compliance with agency, state, and federal requirements.
  • Participate in file reviews, continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities, and program monitoring efforts.

Community Collaboration & Outreach

  • Collaborate with community agencies, healthcare providers, educational programs, and other service providers to ensure coordinated support for families.
  • Participate in recruitment and outreach activities to increase awareness of program services.
  • Assist with family engagement events, group connections, and community presentations.
  • Represent Full Circle Home Visiting professionally within the community.

Professional Development

  • Attend required Parents as Teachers training and maintain certification requirements.
  • Participate in staff meetings, reflective supervision, professional development activities, and ongoing coaching.
  • Remain current on best practices in early childhood development and family support services.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Human Services, Family Studies, or a related field; or currently enrolled in an Associate's Degree program.
  • Experience working with children ages birth to five and their families preferred.
  • Knowledge of child development, family systems, and early childhood education principles.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance.
  • Ability to successfully pass all required background checks and meet child safety requirements.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient with computers, databases, and electronic documentation systems, such as Google Workspace and Canva

Work Environment

  • Full-time position.
  • Travel mainly within Otero County
  • Flexible schedule required to accommodate family availability, including evening visits and community events.
  • Weekend hours may be required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Travel to community events, meetings, or company hub sites using personal vehicle.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Up to $21.00 per hour.
