LOCATION & TRAVEL: This position is based in Detroit, MI; this is a hybrid role requiring occasional travel to portfolio sites.
SCHEDULE Full-Time, Exempt; Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; occasional evenings and weekends as needed
SALARY: We offer a competitive starting salary of $70,000-$90,000. In line with our commitments to internal equity, we will not hire someone at this job level below or above the stated range.

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Five (5) years of professional experience with permanent supportive housing projects and programmatic structures for highly vulnerable groups; a Master’s degree in related fields may substitute for one year of experience
- Educational background or certifications in social work, behavioral health, public policy, or a related field.
- Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage audiences ranging from residents to executive leadership.
- Ability to collaborate across departments while managing complex situations with professionalism and empathy.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Willingness to learn and utilize technology platforms such as Airtable, Yardi, and Power BI.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Policy, Behavioral Health, or a related discipline.
- Experience with grant administration, reporting, and compliance.
- Experience with data analysis and resident services provision in affordable housing
- Lived experience with homelessness, housing instability, or housing assistance programs.

What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Vice President of Mission Impact, you'll help ensure our supportive housing communities remain safe, stable, and responsive to resident needs by serving as a key liaison between operations, resident services, and community partners. The Specialist aligns daily project execution with strategic mission goals.
Within your first six months, a successful Mission Impact Specialist will:
- Become the primary point of coordination between Community Managers, service providers, and the Mission Impact team.
- Lead blended management meetings that strengthen collaboration and improve resident outcomes.
- Implement and maintain systems for collecting and analyzing resident services data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Support staff through training, onboarding, and policy implementation that enhances service delivery and resident stability.
Key Responsibilities
In service of our mission, this role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Strengthen Partnerships & Operations
- Help maximize service funding to improve resident outcomes and long-term property sustainability.
- Support service provider contracting, budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
- Recruit, supervise, and support Resident Service Coordinators and interns.
- Develop onboarding materials, training programs, and operational tools that improve collaboration across teams.
Support Resident Stability
- Coordinate communication between Community Managers, service providers, and the Mission Impact team.
- Lead blended management meetings and help resolve resident concerns before they escalate into crises.
- Support emergency response efforts while prioritizing resident safety and housing stability.
- Analyze resident services data to identify trends and recommend proactive interventions.
Lead Mission-Focused Projects
- Implement grants and monitor progress toward resident outcome goals.
- Facilitate resident surveys, focus groups, and tenant councils.
- Translate data into actionable strategies that strengthen resident success.
- Represent Full Circle Communities in local and national housing initiatives.
Manage Data & Compliance
- Maintain mission-related databases and reporting tools including Airtable, Yardi, and Power BI.
- Prepare grant reports, compliance documentation, and organizational reporting.
- Monitor service delivery metrics to ensure compliance with funder requirements and organizational standards.
