What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2026 Summer Programs - Summer NW/FC: Teachers position at FULL CIRCLE ALTERNATIVE SCHOOL?
Job Goal:
The summer program will provide a positive and fun learning environment which will address student academic needs as well as their social emotional needs addressed in their IEP’s. These opportunities will greatly expand student exposure to the educational, cultural and clinical support services offered at FC/NW during the academic year. Two teachers are sought to assist with the implementation of the grant plan approved by the Department of Education.
Teachers (2 openings):
1 Math
1 ELA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Massachusetts DOE license in Mild to Moderate Special Needs grades 5-12;
- Experience with the IEP process
- Experience with the therapeutic model of Full Circle / Next Wave
- Experience with middle and/or high school curriculum, instruction and assessment practices
- A strong ability to build community, provide support to and motivate staff
- Ability to maintain a safe and healthy environment for students
- Strong organizational and effective communication skills
- Experience working with a team to develop curriculum and extra curricular activities
Terms of Employment:
Seasonal/Yearly Appointment
Monday-Friday 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Rate of Pay: $40 per hour
