Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Finisher, Laborer, and Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality concrete finishing tasks, operating heavy machinery and tools, and supporting various aspects of construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure the successful completion of projects ranging from commercial to residential developments, all while adhering to safety standards and building specifications. Responsibilities
- Prepare concrete forms, set up rebar reinforcement, and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to meet project specifications.
- Operate power tools, and heavy machinery safely and efficiently to facilitate pouring, cutting, finishing, and sealing concrete surfaces.
- Perform concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing, troweling, edging, and texturing to achieve desired surface quality.
- Assist with formwork construction and installation, ensuring proper alignment and stability according to construction plans.
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations, heavy lifting techniques, and equipment operation.
- Collaborate with team members on site to execute tasks efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate concrete mixers, pumps, power tools, and heavy equipment safely.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for accurate project execution.
- Experience with concrete forming, pouring, finishing, cutting, and sealing techniques.
- Knowledge of rebar installation, metal stud framing, masonry work, flooring installation, and roofing basics.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and understanding of construction plans.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina throughout long shifts.
- Excellent understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as trowels, hammers, saws; as well as power tools required for demolition or renovation tasks.
- Experience working on diverse construction projects including restoration or renovation sites; capable of interpreting blueprints accurately for various trades like carpentry or stucco work.
