Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information about treatment options.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently, ensuring optimal use of resources and minimizing wait times.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with medical billing processes, including verifying insurance coverage and processing claims.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate treatment plans and follow-up care.
- Ensure that all office systems are up-to-date and functioning properly to support patient care.
- Provide support in a dental clinic, fostering a positive patient experience.
Skills
- Strong patient service orientation with the ability to empathize with patient's needs.
- Proficient in medical/dental scheduling and familiar with medical/dental office operations.
- Knowledge of medical billing practices and insurance verification processes.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and compliance.
- Experience working in a hospital or dental clinic environment is preferred.
- Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and team members alike.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour depending on experience
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
