Farm Manager – Vineyard & Agricultural Operations

Position Overview
Fulkerson Winery is seeking an experienced and hands-on Farm Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our vineyard and diversified farm. This role is responsible for executing and maintaining high-quality vineyard and crop management practices, operating and maintaining heavy machinery, and contributing to seasonal farm activities.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical farming expertise, a proactive work ethic, and the ability to balance mechanized operations with essential manual vineyard work. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in agriculture, horticulture, and farm machinery, contributing directly to high-quality wine production.
Key Responsibilities
Vineyard & Crop Management
- Support vineyard operations including pruning, training, canopy management, crop thinning, and harvest activities
- Monitor vine health, pest pressures, and overall crop quality, escalating issues as needed
- Assist in implementing seasonal vineyard programs aligned with production and quality goals
Equipment & Machinery Operations
- Safely operate heavy farm equipment (tractors, sprayers, mowers, harvest equipment, etc.)
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on farm machinery
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained, stored, and compliant with safety standards
Farm Operations & Maintenance
- Maintain fields, roadways, and farm infrastructure (fencing, irrigation systems, drainage, etc.)
- Support broader farm activities including fresh fruit production and harvest readiness
- Assist with logistics and setup during peak harvest season
Team Support & Execution
- Work collaboratively with ownership and seasonal crews to execute daily priorities
- Provide guidance and oversight to seasonal labor as needed
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and organized working environment
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in vineyard management, farming, or agricultural operations
- Demonstrated experience operating heavy machinery and farm equipment
- Working knowledge of vineyard practices and seasonal agricultural cycles preferred
- Mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and repair
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions year-round
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL a plus but not required)
