Position Overview:
As a member of the leadership team the HR Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the HR program with a focus on the recruitment effort for the Brattleboro manufacturing facility. Works closely with HR counterparts in India in the administration of HR policies and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the leadership team and others, the HR Manager plays a key role in developing an annual set of goals and initiatives around the safety program for the plant. On an ongoing basis facilitates a variety of safety efforts to include safety trainings, accident and incident reviews and safety inspections. Ensure adherence to OSHA rules and regulations, manages all worker's compensation claims and represents the company at worker's compensation hearings as needed.
- Working with the HR Team for developing and utilizing state of the art recruitment strategies to maintain required workforce. Develop staff orientation program.
- Works with factory management team to insure consistency in HR practices.
- Working closely with India HR to review any and all policy or plan changes for final approval.
- Develop and utilize a range of analytics to define and evaluate the implications of HR practices and policies.
- Ensure policies and management practices comply with federal and state laws and regulations. Provide periodic training and updates to managers and supervisors on these subjects.
- Working with the HR Team to administer the full range of employee benefit plans.
- Administer 401(k) Plan and all annual compliances including audit, etc.
- Developing and working with the leadership team to administer employee relation programs that create a positive work environment which results in our ability to attract and retain quality workforce.
- Organize / Deliver training programs on a variety of HR related subjects.
- Works with plan providers, vendors and outside legal support as needed.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong HR Generalist experience demonstrated by a working knowledge of a broad range of HR practice areas.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of a variety of recruitment practices.
- Proven experience in utilizing a variety of employee relations practices in creating a positive work environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-7 years HR Generalist experience with an emphasis on recruitment preferred.
- Prior experience as a member of a leadership team preferred.
- SHRM certifications of SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
Examination:
Must be able to pass a post-offer medical exam, which includes a standard physical with a vision test and drug screening.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
