Traveling Industrial Field Service Technician

We are looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our growing team at Frontmatec, a company based in Kansas City, Missouri.

Shift: First shift Thursday - Monday sometimes Tuesday.

• Thursday is a traveling day, will either fly out or drive from your home to the location of the processing plant to be serviced.
• Friday/Saturday - Service and/or fix the equipment used at the pork processing plant.
• Sunday/Monday - Run and test the machines, be on call on Monday when the plant open back up to make sure machine runs smoothly.
• Working most holidays will be required (Double Time for Holidays)
• Working in a cold environment

Employees Duties/Qualifications:

• The Field Service Technician will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLC-controlled equipment, conveyor systems, and mechanical machines in a food processing environment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled and scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment at customer facilities.
• Assist installation & commissioning of new equipment as well as upgrades on existing installations.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, electrical and pneumatic schematics in order to perform required maintenance and service.
• Execute service and maintenance orders/jobs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide accurate and sufficiently detailed data in comprehensive reports after completion of installation and/or service jobs.
• Comply with all company and client health and safety programs.
• When needed participate in the development of the company’s training programs.
• Self managed responsible for booking travel and accommodations.

Pay: $34.00 - $37.00 per hour
