Accounting Manager

Fulfillment.com is a high volume E-commerce Fulfillment Center located in Savannah GA.Fulfillment.com is looking for a full time Accounting Manager.The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company’s financial records. This role plays a key part in the monthly close process, supervises a team of staff accountants, and supports management through financial analysis, process improvement, and strong internal controls appropriate for a private company environment.The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing execution with team leadership in a fast-paced, operationally focused organization.Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financial information is accurate and completeReview and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules prepared by staff accountantsMaintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and subsidiary ledgersPerform financial and variance analysis and prepare internal management reportingAssist with annual budget preparation and analysis of budget-to-actual resultsMaintain, document, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls appropriate for a private companyEnsure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting standardsIdentify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen controlsCollaborate with operations and other departments to support business and reporting needsSupervise, train, and develop staff accountants, including task delegation, coaching, and performance feedbackParticipate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assignedOther duties may be assigned as necessary​​​​​Required Education and Work Experience: Bachelor’s degree in AccountingMinimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on month-end close responsibilitiesStrong working knowledge of U.S. GAAPPrior experience supervising or leading accounting staff preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with large data setsExperience working with ERP accounting systems; NetSuite experience preferredExperience in a private company, distribution, or operational environment is a plusFamiliarity with ERP accounting systems; NetSuite experience a plusSelf-starter, goal oriented and have a high level of energy.Excellent oral and written communication skills and organization.Fulfillment.com offers:A competitive compensation plan including, salary, 401k, health, dental, vision insurance.
