You and your team will build a new product from the ground up in 3 months. Your team will be small, flat, and cross functional. Contribute technical know-how, help them make architectural decisions, and take the idea from the first commit to the final MVP. This is a founder-style environment where roles overlap and evolve. You are expected to bring your specialized skills to bear for your team but prepare to wear as many hats as it takes to get the job done. Individual performance matters, but success is ultimately measured by the progress of your team's startup. Startup Lab Engineering Associates can expect to:

- Assist your team as necessary to find product-market fit and launch an MVP.
- Embrace core concepts and design patterns used in agile software engineering.
- Review code from peers to enforce best practices.
- Communicate development status to stakeholders.
- Learn and leverage relevant new technologies, tools, methods and processes in your development efforts.
- Develop the confidence to take new ideas from concept to reality.
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field from a top-tier university/college, or able to demonstrate significant, relevant professional experience.
- Experience developing with high-level programming languages, frameworks, and tools. (Python, JavaScript, Swift, etc.)
- Embrace core concepts and design patterns used in modern software engineering, including object-oriented, protocol-oriented, and reactive programming.
- Experience with approaches and tools for automated testing, i.e., Playwright.
- Review code from peer engineers to promulgate best practices.
- Comfortable with ambiguity.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Depth of skill in software engineering, with the patience and willingness to collaborate across other disciplines.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, biased towards action, comfortable with fast-paced. environment. Startup experience is a plus.
- You must be fully available—onsite—from June 1, 2026 through August 28, 2026.
