Fuji Sushi in the historic International District is adding motivated, reliable, hard working servers to our staff. Experience working with Sushi or Japanese cuisine not required, but an added bonus. Experience making cocktails also highly encouraged Full-Time/Part-time position is available. Weekend and flexible availability preferred.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Clover POS system
• Process sales transactions efficiently while upselling menu items like sakes, wines, or specialty dishes to enhance guest experience
• Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring presentation standards are maintained and guest expectations are exceeded
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting in food handling and preparation when needed
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items to enhance the dining experience
• Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally

Requirements

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred; Japanese restaurant experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of POS systems for reservations and sales processing
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
• Spirits and wine knowledge highly valued
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately with basic math skills; cashiering experience is beneficial
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Serving or host/hostess experience that demonstrates hospitality expertise and guest relations skills
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bus tables, assist in food prep as needed, and maintain a clean work environment
