We are seeking an organized, analytical, and hands-on Inventory Control Specialist to oversee inventory accuracy across our U.S. operations. This role will play a key part in ensuring material availability, reducing inventory discrepancies, improving warehouse processes, preventing material shortages and supporting production continuity.

Your Role

As the Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of inventory across the manufacturing facility. You will develop and execute cycle count programs, investigate inventory variances, optimize inventory processes, and work closely with Production, Quality Control, Shipping & Receiving, ERP specialist and Accounting to ensure accurate inventory records.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute daily, weekly, and monthly cycle count programs.
• Learn and master the ERP system inventory module as well as other modules.
• Reconcile physical inventory with ERP inventory records on daily bases.
• Investigate discrepancies between the physical inventory and the ERP inventory and perform root cause analysis.
• Execute the necessary inventory adjustments in the ERP system on weekly basis after validating them and while keeping the records of proof.
• Maintain accurate inventory records across the manufacturing facility:
• Keep the locations bar code labels and the material bar code labels updated to the latest revision.
• Monitor inventory movements issues related to receipts, transfers, returns, shipments, material consignation, adjustments, and scrap.
• Partner with Receiving to ensure inventory is accurately received and transferred to the proper location.
• Work closely with QC team to ensure:
• The movements of inventory to NCR and the movements following the NCR dispositions (use as it is, repair, scrap, return) are done accurately.
• The movements of inventory (found in-process nonconformities) to MRB location and the movements following the MRB dispositions (use as it is, repair, scrap, return) are done accurately.
• The quantities of the finished products and the finished sub-assemblies declared in the ERP system for the day corresponds to the physical count.
• Work closely with Production to ensure:
• Material picking for consumption in mass production and for repairs is properly done in the ERP system.
• The quantities of the finished products and the finished sub-assemblies declared in the ERP system for the day corresponds to the physical count.
• The movements of inventory (found in-process nonconformities) to MRB location are done accurately.
• Partner with Shipping to ensure the movement of the materials shipped out for subcontracting is done properly in the inventory and to ensure the quantities of finished products shipped out and remaining in the inventory are accurate.
• Collaborate with the ERP specialist and production during the physical inventory counts two times per year.
• Identify process weaknesses that contribute to inventory inaccuracies and implement corrective actions.
• Assist Purchasing and Project management with obsolete inventory management and stock information.
• Develop and maintain inventory control procedures and work instructions.
• Monitor inventory aging, levels, and accuracy KPIs and prepare regular management reports.
• Recommend improvements to warehouse organization, material flow, and inventory control practices.
• Train warehouse and production personnel on inventory best practices.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO procedures, and internal controls.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across both facilities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. (degree preferred but experience a priority)

• Minimum 3-5 years of inventory control or materials management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience performing cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of ISO quality systems.
• Experience supporting cross-border manufacturing operations.

Working Conditions

• Regular presence on the manufacturing floor and within warehouse operations.
• Occasional lifting of inventory items (up to 25 lbs.) and extended periods of standing or walking throughout production and warehouse areas.

Pay: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour
