We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive individual with a deep network to lead our distribution business development efforts in the US and Canada, with focus on new client signings. Established industry network and ease of building a broad scope of client relationships is essential. This hybrid role can be based in our Los Angeles or New York City office locations.

Key responsibilities:
Lead North America Business Development & Sales
- Responsible for meeting sales targets in North America, based on business strategy & objectives
- Responsible for building deals pipeline and actively selling distribution services and products
- Utilize established network for generating new business opportunities in distribution and across Downtown, including Neighbouring Rights, Publishing
- Build and maintain key industry relationships, including label executives, law firms
- Draft & manage commercial proposals; manage contract negotiations with prospects and clients
- Engage close collaboration with FUGA Audio-Visual services (AVS), driving further revenue opportunity with YouTube and UGC platforms
- Oversight of FUGA inbound sales submissions in North America
- Analyze regional monthly sales reports, generating insights, issues and opportunities
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including BA, Client Relations, Finance, Ops, Marketing
- Project manage sales and new client processes with team, including platform demos, creation of deck proposals and pipeline tracking
- Manage consistent CRM data entry and pipeline tracking
- Deliver internal reporting and special projects updates
- 8 years of experience in the music industry within the US
- University degree (preferably Business, Economics, Music/Entertainment) or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of experience in one of these domains: A&R, Business Development, Campaign Management, with top-performing music businesses
- Broad knowledge of the music industry, digital landscape and consumer trends
- Strong industry network, with skillset in generating, maintaining relationships
- Comfortable negotiating commercial terms and managing stakeholder relationships
- Broad knowledge of the music business, digital landscape, consumer trends and distribution
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen
- Strong communication skills, with attention to detail and providing context
- Highly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced, cross-functional, international environment
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM software, Analytics platforms
- Excellent project management, analytical abilities and follow-through

Salary : $110,000 - $160,000
