Job Summary:
FuelMaster Transport is hiring experienced and dedicated CDL A Fuel Tanker Drivers in Indianapolis, IN! This local driving position ensures home daily schedules, competitive pay averaging $100,000 annually, and consistent, reliable weekly pay. Key Responsibilities:
- Fuel Transportation:
- Safely load, transport, and deliver petroleum products in tanker trailers within a 300-mile radius of Indianapolis, IN.
- Perform fuel deliveries to gas stations, terminals, and other designated locations.
- Transport liquid cargo safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations related to transportation and hazardous materials (HAZMAT).
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operations.
- Follow spill prevention procedures to ensure the safe handling and delivery of petroleum products.
- Equipment Maintenance and Operation:
- Operate and maintain well-maintained, modern equipment provided by the company.
- Utilize manual transmission vehicles and handle specialized equipment as needed.
- Report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle reliability and safety.
- Documentation and Communication:
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery schedules, routes traveled, and cargo transported.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork, including fuel receipts and inspection forms.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules, road conditions, and any operational concerns.
- Customer Service:
- Interact courteously and professionally with customers during fuel deliveries.
- Address concerns promptly and escalate issues as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- License and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years verified Class A CDL driving experience.
- Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and HazMat endorsements.
- TWIC Card required (applicable for TN, KY, IN, IL).
- Age and Physical Fitness:
- Must meet DOT age requirements (minimum 25 years old).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain at least a one-year medical card.
- Driving Record:
- No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- No DUIs, DWIs, or reckless driving violations in the past 7 years.
- No positive or refused drug or alcohol tests in the past 3 years.
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous terminal experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with operating tractor-trailer units and other trailer types (e.g., flatbed, refrigerated trailers) is advantageous.
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus.
