Junior High Dean
The Junior High division of the Fuchs Mizrachi School in Beachwood, Ohio, a co-ed Modern Orthodox Zionist K-12 Jewish day school,is seeking a full time Dean, who will partner with the principal in further developing and implementing the educational vision of our Junior High, and meeting the academic, social, and emotional needs of each student.
[I] Primary Goals and responsibilities
- Co-plan and implement our educational vision (academic, social/emotional, etc) through collaboration with the principal and Junior High team
- Serve as a proactive leader of our educational team who exemplifies investment in professional growth, learning, and development
- Facilitate opportunities for student growth & learning toward our school values, academic achievement, social/emotional growth, and strong community citizenship
- Oversee the effective operation of day-to-day systems and processes that align with our vision (including those related to community expectations and learning), and facilitate its implementation
- Interface with parents, students, junior high team members (including student support services, social worker, teachers, etc.), and parents
- Develop and oversee academic and co-curricular schedules
- Collaborate on calendar, handbook and student policies and procedures
- Support teachers in pedagogy, classroom management, and school procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s or equivalent experience preferred
- Areas of expertise include academic oversight, systems implementation, assessment
- At least 3 years of experience in educational leadership and supervision preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
