Role Description:
We are seeking a results-driven Logistics Service Manager – Inside Sales to join our team. This role focuses on driving new sales, managing day-to-day freight operations, and building lasting customer relationships. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can multitask with frequent interruptions, and is committed to delivering excellent service while achieving revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new customer sales and generate leads through various prospecting methods.
- Cultivate sustainable customer relationships and encourage account growth.
- Deliver cost-effective logistics solutions to attract and retain clients.
- Manage brokerage and customer service aspects of assigned shipments/accounts.
- Handle spot pricing, carrier negotiations, and RFP/RFI processes.
- Support operations and internal teams with pricing, operations, and payment-related issues.
- Conduct on-site customer visits as needed and provide effective feedback to teams.
- Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, shippers, and team members.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience in brokerage operations, transportation, or supply chain preferred.
- Strong business development, sales, and highway service knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, data entry, and 10-key.
- Professional phone and email communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and make decisions with limited supervision.
- Effective customer service, conflict resolution, and time management skills.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience with RMIS (Registry Monitoring Insurance Services) and TMS (Transportation Management System).
- Ability to positively influence coworkers and maintain a collaborative work environment.
Work Environment:
Primarily office-based with frequent team and supplier interactions. The role involves multitasking in a dynamic environment with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Sit, stand, walk, and reach as needed for paperwork and computer tasks.
