Our recruiting firm is currently partnering with a respected and well-established law firm to find a skilled and professional Legal Administrative Assistant to support their team. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented legal environment and has a strong background in administrative support within a legal setting.
Position Overview
The Legal Administrative Assistant will play a vital role in supporting attorneys and paralegals by performing a variety of complex and specialized administrative tasks. This position requires excellent organizational, communication, and technical skills, along with a strong understanding of legal processes and terminology.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and organization of case files and documents for new and closed matters
- Prepare and process New Matter Intake forms
- Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and memoranda
- Prepare documents for e-filing and manage document production
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic filing systems in accordance with firm policies
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including mail, faxes, and calls
- Manage attorneys’ calendars and coordinate meetings, deadlines, and appointments
- Assist with time entry, billing, expense reporting, and client invoicing
- Greet clients and visitors; arrange meetings and conference rooms
- Coordinate travel and prepare related expense reports
- Provide general administrative support and assist with other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred
- 2 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant (experience in a law firm strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with legal documents, terminology, and procedures
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Typing speed of at least 60 WPM preferred
- Excellent grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
