Residential Construction | Estimating & Project Pricing
We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join a growing residential homebuilding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with residential estimating experience who enjoys working with blueprints, performing detailed takeoffs, pricing selections, and managing change orders.
The ideal candidate has experience estimating residential construction projects and is comfortable working within established plans, budgets, and processes. Production homebuilding experience is strongly preferred, but candidates with custom homebuilding, remodeling, or other relevant residential construction backgrounds will also be considered.
What You'll Do
- Perform detailed construction takeoffs and estimate residential projects using blueprints and construction plans.
- Review plans, scopes, and specifications to ensure accurate project pricing.
- Manage pricing for homeowner selections using information and selection sheets provided by the design team.
- Prepare and maintain construction start packages.
- Own change-order pricing, documentation, and processing.
- Complete selection sheets accurately and incorporate selections into project estimates.
- Collaborate with the designer, construction services team, and project managers to keep pricing and documentation organized and accurate.
- Help support consistent estimating practices across a growing portfolio of residential homes.
What We're Looking For
- Previous construction estimating experience is required.
- Residential construction experience, including homebuilding, custom construction, remodeling, or related experience.
- Strong blueprint reading and plan interpretation skills.
- Experience performing detailed material and construction takeoffs.
- Experience with selections pricing and/or construction change orders.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across construction and design teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Production homebuilding experience.
- Familiarity with standardized home plans, repeatable construction processes, and residential start packages.
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
