The Department of Speech-Language Pathology at Maryville University (St. Louis) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position for the 2025-2026 academic year. We seek a dynamic individual who will work on campus and contribute to our state-of-the-art, CAA-accredited program.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels within the Speech-Language Pathology program.
- Provide clinical supervision to students in the program.
- Advise and mentor students, including guidance on research projects.
- Engage in scholarly activities and contribute to research initiatives.
- Provide service to the department, university, and broader academic community.
- Foster a culturally diverse and inclusive environment for faculty, staff, and students.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- CCC-SLP certification.
- Eligibility for Missouri SLP licensure.
- Ability to teach and supervise on campus.
- This position requires experience in one of 2 areas: (1) cleft lip palate, myofunctional therapy, and voice/resonance OR (2) aphasia, degenerative conditions, HNC, and TBI.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD or EdD in speech-language pathology or a related field (ABD applicants will be considered).
