The Department of Speech-Language Pathology at Maryville University (St. Louis) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position for the 2025-2026 academic year. We seek a dynamic individual who will work on campus and contribute to our state-of-the-art, CAA-accredited program.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels within the Speech-Language Pathology program.
  • Provide clinical supervision to students in the program.
  • Advise and mentor students, including guidance on research projects.
  • Engage in scholarly activities and contribute to research initiatives.
  • Provide service to the department, university, and broader academic community.
  • Foster a culturally diverse and inclusive environment for faculty, staff, and students.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • CCC-SLP certification.
  • Eligibility for Missouri SLP licensure.
  • Ability to teach and supervise on campus.
  • This position requires experience in one of 2 areas: (1) cleft lip palate, myofunctional therapy, and voice/resonance OR (2) aphasia, degenerative conditions, HNC, and TBI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD or EdD in speech-language pathology or a related field (ABD applicants will be considered).

  • The Speech-Language Pathology department is housed in a state-of-the-art facility and is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA).
  • An offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background screening.
