JOB OVERVIEW
In this role a highly skilled and detail-oriented specialist will be working in our aviation repair station, focusing on High Pressure Compressor (HPC) blades for commercial jet engines. This role is critical to ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of next-generation aircraft powerplants.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed inspection, blending, and repair of HPC blades, including tip restoration, airfoil contouring, and root surface conditioning.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, CMMs, optical comparators) to verify dimensional compliance against OEM specifications.
- Interpret and work from OEM repair manuals (CFM, GE, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, etc.) to ensure compliance with approved repair schemes.
- Maintainaccuratedocumentationin accordance with FAA Part 145 repair station procedures, EASA standards, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot rejects, reduce scrap/rework, and improve repair yields.
- Stay current with evolving industry standards, new OEM repair approvals, and best practices in compressor blade technology.
Qualifications:
- Must have basic mechanical skills
- Must be fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S
- Pass pre-employment drug testingperFAA/DOT regulations
- Previoushands-on experience in the repair, inspection, and quality control of HPC blades. (Preferred)
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, advanced repair techniques, and FAA/EASA regulatory compliance.(Preferred)
