JOB OVERVIEW
The Technical Records Supervisor leads the Technical Records team, effectively overseeing documentation needed and produced during day-to-day MRO activities. This position manages the information requirements across FTAI Aviation USA departments and ensures documentation’s timely availability for internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Technical Records team in the review of status regarding manufacturers and costumers’ maintenance requirements, Services Bulletins / Modifications, and Airworthiness Directives; and the creation of records packages for work performed at FTAI Aviation USA.
- Establish priorities within team and drive on time delivery of shop visit records packages.
- Audit shop visit paperwork for complete and accurate documentation of work performed.
- Communicate with shopfloor personnel and leadership regarding priorities and corrections, as it pertains to records.
- Maintain a computer database of all controlled technical records with internal IT support.
- Prepare records documentation (i.e. LLP Status, On/Off Log Reports, Module Configuration, QEC Inventory) as needed.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis for nonconformances and corrective actions in the department.
- Participate in special projects as deemed valuable to the Department and Company.
- Lead and improve the teams’ operations and processes.
- Perform team’s performance reviews and evaluations.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of applicable MRO experience.
- 3 years in a supervisor or leadership role.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in aviation technical records for engine maintenance (MRO) is essential.
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate efficiently with all employee levels.
- Sound organizational skills with above-average attention to detail.
- Understand, read, and speak English.
Preferred:
- Quantum ERP Experience.
- Strong computer skills, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook- and ability to learn other software programs.
- Bilingual, Spanish preferred.
Job Demands:
Work is performed in a Shop environment and requires the ability to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; to lift up to 50lbs. regularly; to manipulate up to 100lbs. with assistance. Must be able to bend, stoop, climb to reach materials, and work in a noisy environment.
