Position: Co-Middle School Athletic Coordinator (ECA)
Location: Fort Couch Middle School
Assignment: August 1, 2026 through June 30,2027
Summary: The Middle School Athletic Coordinator (ECA) is responsible for planning and organizing Fort Couch’s athletic programs/sports. This position ensures that all sports programs promote sportsmanship, teamwork, student development, and compliance with school district and athletic association policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise all middle school athletic programs and activities.
- Coordinate schedule creation and maintain athletic schedules, including practices, competitions, and transportation.
- Complete equipment bid sheets prior to each season by the HS athletic office deadline.
- Coordinate athletic facility usage, maintenance, and event preparation.
- Recruit and hire coaches for each season.
- Plan and implement yearly coaches training in collaboration with the District HR department.
- In collaboration with the other Athletic Coordinator, plan and implement a schedule to attend the start of all home Fort Couch games.
- Ensure compliance with district policies, state athletic association rules, and eligibility requirements.
- Coordinate officials, transportation, medical coverage, and volunteers for athletic events.
- Maintain accurate records of participation, schedules, budgets, injuries, and program outcomes.
- Organize pre-season meetings, coach orientations, and parent information sessions.
- Promote good sportsmanship, character development, and student wellness.
- Collaborate with school administration to evaluate and improve athletic programs.
Requirements:
- Be employed by the Upper St. Clair School District
- Be available to assist after school M-T
- Have experience working with Middle School Students
- Knowledge of middle school athletic programs, rules, and regulations.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities among different sports.
