VS309 Overview

VS309 is more than just an ASTM C309-compliant moisture cure—it’s also a proactive moisture mitigation tool, and an advanced real-time QA/QC oversight system that leverages 3D laser scanning technology during the live placement of wet structural concrete. This technology monitors and corrects imperfections as they happen, scanning bent plates, forms, structural beams, and more in real time. VS309 offers up to a 15-year moisture guarantee, ensuring your concrete will be ready for floor finishes, guaranteed.

Combined with a proprietary curing formula, VS309 delivers precise hydration and curing, consistently achieving exceptional FF/FL values and dramatically reducing the risk of:

  • Costly moisture or leveling remediation
  • Schedule delays due to slab rework
  • Flooring and finish failures
  • Unforeseen change orders or conflicts at handoff
  • Post-installation slab curling or structural cracks

Position Overview

The General Contractor Solutions Specialist is responsible for developing and managing relationships with General Contractors, Developers, Construction Managers, and Owners to drive adoption of FST’s VS309 system on active and upcoming construction projects.

This is a field-driven, preconstruction-oriented sales role designed for professionals with prior experience working for a General Contractor or in contractor-focused sales. The position focuses on early engagement, risk identification, and positioning VS309 as a front-end concrete QA/QC and moisture performance system that protects schedule, cost, and downstream trade coordination.

This role works in close partnership with the VS309 Sales Representative, ensuring alignment across pursuit strategy, client messaging, and execution from preconstruction through delivery.

Travel throughout CA, with potential travel throughout WA, OR, TX, UT, and other active FST markets is required to maintain regional presence and jobsite engagement.


Key Responsibilities

General Contractor, Developer & Owner Engagement

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with General Contractors, Construction Managers, Developers, and Owners.
  • Engage GC teams early during preconstruction, budgeting, and concrete planning to introduce VS309 as a proactive risk-mitigation and quality-assurance system.
  • Participate in preconstruction meetings, constructability reviews, and concrete scope discussions.
  • Clearly communicate VS309’s value related to moisture performance, flatness outcomes, schedule certainty, and reduced downstream risk.
  • Support Owners and Developers by articulating cost certainty, schedule protection, and long-term performance benefits.

Preconstruction & Project Development

  • Identify projects where VS309 aligns with elevated concrete, moisture, or schedule risk profiles (healthcare, data centers, higher-ed, civic, mission-critical).
  • Work alongside GC estimating and preconstruction teams to integrate VS309 into budgets, scopes, and value discussions.
  • Coordinate with concrete and flooring stakeholders to ensure proper understanding of VS309 scope, responsibilities, and interfaces.
  • Support buyout and award discussions by reinforcing VS309’s role in protecting the project as a whole, not just a single trade.

Business Development

  • Build and manage a regional pipeline of GC-led opportunities across assigned markets.
  • Leverage prior GC or contractor sales relationships to expand FST’s footprint within key accounts.
  • Collaborate with FST leadership and the VS309 Sales Representative to prioritize strategic pursuits and national account opportunities.
  • Represent FST at industry events, GC forums, DBIA functions, and construction trade shows.

Internal Collaboration & Execution

  • Work in close coordination with the VS309 Solution Specialist to align pursuit strategy, account coverage, and client messaging.
  • Collaborate with FST technical, estimating, field, and VS309 sales teams to support proposals, presentations, pricing strategies, and project pursuits.
  • Ensure internal clarity on account ownership, pursuit roles, and next steps to maintain a consistent and professional client experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, opportunities, and project status in Salesforce and internal tracking systems.
  • Participate in weekly sales and operations meetings to review pipeline health, strategy, and active pursuits.
  • Support disciplined handoff from sales to operations—working jointly with the VS309 Sales Rep and field teams—to ensure continuity from preconstruction through execution.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience working for a General Contractor or in contractor-focused sales within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of preconstruction processes, estimating workflows, and concrete sequencing.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to executive, project, and field-level stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build trust and credibility with GC leadership, preconstruction managers, and Owners.
  • Self-directed, organized, and comfortable operating in a field-based role with significant travel.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and project tracking tools.


Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or Business preferred.

· 0–3 years of experience in AEC sales, design, or construction industry.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present technical information confidently.

· Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently or as part of a distributed team.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms (Salesforce), and digital communication and social media tools.

· Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel as required.


Compensation

· $100,000 - $120,000 (commensurate with experience)

· Sales Commission: on VS309 specification success and closed opportunities. Uncapped commission potential. Estimated $100,00 earned first year.
