We are looking for a CFASS & Respite provider proficient in ASL.
Location: Hempstead, NY
Population: Female aged 14
Schedule: Flexible, based on the needs of the family
About the Role
As a CFASS/Respite Provider, you will offer supportive, strength-based services to help youth develop skills, build confidence, and work toward personal goals. You will also provide short-term relief to caregivers by engaging youth in safe, structured, and appropriate activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support and supervision to youth in the community or in the home
- Engage youth in recreational, social, and skill-building activities
- Implement individualized goals based on the youth’s needs
- Maintain professional boundaries and ensure safety at all times
- Document sessions and communicate progress to the team as needed
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or youth required
- Proficient in Sign Language
- Ability to engage with diverse families and manage challenging behaviors
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
- Must meet all program onboarding requirements (fingerprinting, background checks, trainings)
We pay $50/hr for the CFASS service for providers with a Bachelors degree, and $25/hr for respite.
