Join the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration mission and ministry. We are seeking a full-time Liturgist and Musician to join our team at St. Rose Convent, the spiritual heart and administrative center of FSPA in La Crosse, WI.
As the Liturgist and Musician you will coordinate, prepare, plan, update, curate and execute Eucharistic Liturgies, other Sacramental services and prayer services for the St. Rose community. The Liturgist will coordinate, plan, and conduct rehearsals as needed with choir members, cantors and at times, other musicians. Requests may be made to collaborate and aid with other FSPA functions, the Franciscan Spirituality Center and Viterbo University.

Requirements
We are looking for an energetic, caring individual who has:
- Bachelor's Degree in Liturgy, Theology or a Music Degree or Knowledge of music and/or a liturgy background obtained through advanced education or work experience will be considered
- A thorough understanding of liturgy, theology and Scripture to perform basic liturgical coordination responsibilities
- Working knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new software programs
- Knowledge of sources of music publications and electronic music reprints, composers and authors.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Identify with and display a commitment to the mission, philosophy, and core values of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration
- Direct the community worship program, including the planning of liturgical seasons, liturgical calendar and special services in collaboration with the St. Rose Liturgy Committee
- Maintain and oversee the use of musical instruments at St. Rose; including the pipe organ and six pianos
- Coordinate the scheduling of persons involved in liturgical ministries
- Willing to learn and use FSPA traditional music literature and sacred choral literature, including contemporary music resources
- Select and purchase appropriate music for liturgical services and provide accompanists for services within the current yearly budget.
Salary : $22 - $28
