QC Technician

Description

The QC (Quality Control) Technician position will perform daily and monthly inspections of equipment and are also charged with documenting and reporting results of inspections to the company.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of all fueling units in an efficient manner to ensure equipment is up to standards.?
• Verify all decaling is in line with specifications and is legible.
• Report any discrepancies to the MTC team.
• Compose and submit accurate documentation and reports.
• Extract fuel from Sump tanks to prevent overflows.
• Utilize wireless tablet and other mobile devices as required to submit inspection results.
• Conform to all safety standards set forth by FSM Group and airport regulations.
• Complete department specific daily tasks efficiently.
• Operate a motor vehicle safely on the airport ramp as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

$18.00 / hour

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 21 of age, 
• Have 3 years’ U.S. driving experience, 
• Hold a U.S. valid driver's license, 
• Maintain a driving record meeting the Company’s commercial auto insurance standards (e.g. no Type A major violations). 
• Willing to work overtime.
• Pass a federal fingerprint background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Document prior work history.
• Have proof of US work eligibility.

Additional Requirements:

• Must have proven success in aviation roles and a positive work record.
• One year of experience in a quality control role preferred.
• Proficiency with computer applications, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and/or processes.
• Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment, e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots, and other PPE as required by specific job.?

Physical Requirements:

This position requires sustained physical effort and consistent exposure to outdoor and potentially hazardous work environments. The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Mobility and Access

• Must be able to climb up and down stairs and ladders with 50 steps and work at heights of 50 feet or more, including high, precarious places.
• Must be able to get in and out of vehicles of varying sizes and heights.
• Must be able to drive and operate vehicles and equipment of various sizes, including automated lifts up to      26 feet.

Lifting and Carrying

• Frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds overhead.
• Occasionally lift up to 70 pounds to waist level.
• Must be able to shovel materials such as snow, sand, dirt, gravel, or rocks as needed.

Standing and Movement

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, climb, and balance for extended periods of time.
• Perform repetitive physical movements, including bending at the waist and knees, and sustaining awkward or physically demanding positions.
• Capable of climbing and standing on step ladders while performing overhead work, such as connecting fueling hoses.

Manual Dexterity

• Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, grip, and operate tools, equipment, and controls.

Sensory Requirements

• Hear and respond to verbal instructions, environmental sounds, and audible      alarms.
• Maintain the following vision apabilities:
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
  • Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more)
  • Color vision (identify and distinguish between colors)
  • Peripheral vision (see up/down and side-to-side while focused on a central point)
  • Depth perception (assess distance and spatial relationships)
  • Ability to adjust focus (sharpen vision at various distances)

Environmental and Working Conditions

• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
• Tolerate frequent exposure to:
  • Moderate to high noise levels (with use of appropriate hearing protection)
  • Fumes, airborne particles, and hazardous substances, materials, or waste
• Work near or around:
  • Moving mechanical parts
  • High-voltage equipment
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems operating under high pressure
• Work in elevated or precarious positions, such as on lifts, ladders, or elevated platforms.
