Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Bridgeton, NJ 08302
Schedule: Full-Time
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Special Education Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to support students with special needs, fostering an inclusive and effective learning environment that promotes academic success for all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique learning needs.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in one-on-one and group settings.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to design and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP goals.
Qualifications:
- 1–5 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher or in a related role.
- Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Valid New Jersey Educational Services Certificate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Passion for education and commitment to student growth.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school setting.
- Must pass a criminal background check and provide proof of U.S. citizenship or legal work authorization.
