What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey CAD Technician position at FSC INC?
FSC Inc is seeking a Survey CAD Technician to join our growing team! This is an in-office position located at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbus, TX.
In this role, one will perform a wide variety of drafting duties that utilize CAD in developing drafting designs. A CAD Technician prepares drafts of projects, determines its feasibility, applications, and generates accurate and detailed records of project data. The technician will always be expected to exercise extensive judgment and initiative in executing these responsibilities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Performs drafting operations for the determination of project plans and collects data for project plats.
- Maintains communication with clients, for any needs or issues.
- Performs documentation, research and drafting tasks of field data requested by clients or managers.
- Communicate with project managers, engineers, and other CAD staff to create and revise drawings in accordance with project specifications.
- Communicates with RPLS or Project Manager any issues or challenges immediately.
- Communicates with Field Crew as necessary to have a clear understanding of job scope.
- Performs regular computer software and AutoCAD maintenance, upgrading and troubleshooting.
- Maintains up to date working and technical knowledge of all procedural and improvement changes to computer hardware and software applications.
Experience:
- One year of experience in land surveying CAD is required
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and detailing
- Proficiency with Excel
- Oil and Gas experience is a plus!
