This is a senior-level leadership position responsible for managing and scaling field and office operations across multiple states with a strong emphasis on quality, efficiency, compliance, and profitability.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment—someone who can bring structure, discipline, and high-level technical oversight to a company that continues to expand aggressively in Texas, New Mexico, and surrounding regions.

Please note that this is an in-office position based in our Columbus, TX office.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership & Management

  • Oversee all survey operations across multiple states, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to FSC’s quality standards.
  • Manage survey managers, field supervisors, project managers and CAD personnel.
  • Implement systems, workflows and SOPs to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Provide high-level QA/QC and technical oversight on boundary, route, construction, as-built, oil & gas, and energy-related survey deliverables.

Field & Office Coordination

  • Direct scheduling of crews, project assignments, and cross-state resource allocation.
  • Work directly with project managers to streamline client communication, timelines and deliverables.
  • Ensure proper equipment tracking, maintenance and utilization.

Technical & Regulatory Expertise

  • Stamp and review plats, reports, exhibits, well plats, and energy-related deliverables where licensed.
  • Maintain compliance with state surveying rules and regulatory bodies (TX, NM and additional states).
  • Lead expansion of licensure into new markets as FSC continues geographic growth.

Financial Performance & Oversight

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and revenue planning across departments.
  • Track billable performance, project margins, and department KPIs.
  • Participate in pricing strategy, proposal development, and client scoping.

Team Development

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop survey staff across all levels.
  • Establish performance standards and accountability systems.
  • Build a strong culture of ownership, urgency, and high-quality execution.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Licensed Professional Surveyor in at least Texas and one additional state (New Mexico strongly preferred).
  • 7 years of experience in surveying with substantial oil & gas and linear infrastructure project exposure.
  • Demonstrated success in high-volume, multi-crew operations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Expertise in Civil 3D, GIS data workflows, GNSS, conventional instruments, and modern survey technology.

Preferred

  • Multi-state licensure (TX, NM, OK, CO, WY, ND, or similar).
  • Experience in a Director/Manager/Regional Ops leadership capacity.
  • Ability to bring or build a strong network of industry relationships.
  • Strong business acumen with exposure to budgets, utilization rates, and operational metrics.

Why Join FSC, Inc?

  • Aggressive growth trajectory with opportunities to shape a rapidly scaling surveying division.
  • Leadership role with influence over strategic direction and operational structure.

  • An environment where top-performers excel and leadership is decisive, fast-moving and supportive.
