FS Builder Resources provides cabinetry, appliances, window treatment products, expert installation services, and design studio solutions to new home builders across Greater Orlando and Tampa.

SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking an experienced Service & Warranty Technician to join our Tampa team. This position is responsible for performing small to intermediate cabinetry and finish-related service and warranty repairs. The Service & Warranty Technician will inspect reported concerns, determine the appropriate scope of repair, and complete work in a professional and timely manner to meet customer and builder expectations.

This role requires strong attention to detail, working knowledge of cabinetry products, the ability to safely operate tools, and professional communication with homeowners, builders, and internal team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Include but are not limited to:

  • Perform service and warranty repairs, adjustments, or replacements for newly installed cabinetry and related products.
  • Inspect reported service or warranty concerns and determine the appropriate scope of repair.
  • Repair, replace, or adjust cabinets and cabinetry components.
  • Repair, replace, or install crown molding, trim, toe kick, and related finish materials.
  • Touch up and repair painted and stained cabinetry surfaces.
  • Develop and maintain extensive working knowledge of cabinetry products, materials, and installation standards.
  • Safely operate power tools including miter saws, table saws, jig saws, powered drills, and other related tools.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, field teams, and internal team members.
  • Complete assigned service work accurately, efficiently, and within expected timelines.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Support team members in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner while working in homes, builder communities, and job sites.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty accurately and efficiently, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Proven field service experience in residential construction, cabinetry, finish carpentry, or a related trade.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to diagnose and resolve service-related issues efficiently.
  • Ability to repair, replace, adjust, and touch up cabinetry and related finish materials.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with homeowners, builders, and internal team members.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems, email, and scheduling or job management software.
  • Clean DMV record with access to a reliable work truck or vehicle.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools required for cabinetry and finish repair work.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in cabinetry, finish carpentry, residential construction, service, warranty, or field repair work preferred.
  • Prior experience working in new home construction or builder warranty service preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, and use hands for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
  • Ability to safely operate tools and equipment required for the position.
  • Ability to work in active construction environments and occupied homes.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position works in a variety of environments, including new construction job sites, builder communities, customer homes, warehouse areas, and shop settings. The role may require regular travel throughout the assigned service area and interaction with homeowners, builders, subcontractors, and internal team members.
