Maintenance Technician (Multi-Family Property)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of sewer lines and electrical maintenance repairs

· Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service

· Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust

· Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and buildings

· Refurbishment of vacated apartments. Such work is to be undertaken in strict accordance with standards regarding quality and timelines of such work

· Perform repairs to building exteriors and common areas including, but not limited to, exterior siding, shingles, roofs, foundations, crawl spaces, doors, windows, yards, including fences, playground equipment, removal of rubbish, parking areas, etc.

· Perform plumbing repairs including sinks, toilets, pipes, drains, faucets, drainage lines, sewer and water lines

· Perform general repairs, including repairs and replacement of ranges and refrigerators

· Perform mechanical systems repairs, including fixtures, covers, breakers, wiring, etc.

· Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean orderly work areas

· Perform all other duties as assigned or needed

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Licenses, Certifications, Etc.

· Requires a high school diploma/GED, or an equivalent number of years of maintenance experience

· An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance a plus, but not required

* HVAC and EPA certifications requirement depends on location

· Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, as well as accept direction on given assignments

Physical Requirements

*This is a drug free workplace

· Must be able to lift and move up to 75 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
