Responsibilities:
- Adhere to rules, procedures, safe work practices, health and safety standards and use of personal protective equipment
- Report and investigate all near misses/incidents/accidents resulting in personal injury or property damage
- Comply with Food Safety & Quality policies and procedures
- Ensure forms and checklists are properly filled out
- Maintain safe and clean work environment; follow area checklist for sanitation requirements
- Verify tools, utensils, pails and other components are cleaned prior to and after use
- Maintain traceability for all weighed raw materials and ingredients, ensuring batch numbers and quantities are accurately recorded
- Carefully and accurately weigh out raw materials or ingredients according to production order forms
- Perform raw material processing (transformations) as per defined orders
- Allergen, Organic, and NGPV procedures must be strictly complied with
- Immediately report damaged or non-conforming raw materials, ingredients, or packaging to QC and Shift Supervisor
- Be willing to cross-train in different production functions as needed; required to train new or transferred employees
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or food industry setting
- Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, CCPs and Food Safety (e.g. BRC) required
- Must be able to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment; work effectively both independently and within a team
- Must be safety and quality conscious
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.; be able to stand, bend, lift, twist, and turn, for extended periods of time in a humid environment
- Must be safety and quality conscious
- Must be available for morning/afternoon and overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Shift flexibility is required due to business needs
