Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring their comfort.
- Support physicians and nurses with clinical tasks such as medication administration, wound care, X-ray procedures, and basic life support (BLS) when necessary.
- Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems accurately to document patient information, and treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments related to physiology and anatomy knowledge to support diagnosis and treatment in an outpatient setting
- Manage medical supplies and assist with inventory control
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, coordinating appointments, and ensuring a smooth flow of clinical activities across diverse departments.
Skills
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology.
- Proficiency in using EHR systems for documentation and patient record management.
- Ability to perform vital signs collection accurately and efficiently in outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols within hospital or clinic environments.
