Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to oversee our bar operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management, with a focus on beverage operations, staff training, and customer service. As the Bar Manager, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to quality standards
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels
- Train and develop bar staff in customer service, drink preparation, and food handling procedures
- Implement effective cash handling procedures and manage POS systems (ToastTab POS)
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards
- Create a welcoming atmosphere for guests while providing exceptional service
- Collaborate with kitchen management to coordinate food preparation and service during busy periods
- Conduct staff interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a strong team
- Monitor budgets and assist in financial planning for bar operations
- Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership and team management
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant or bar management, with a focus on quick service or fine dining environments
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, culinary practices, and beverage management
- Experience with inventory control and budgeting within the food industry
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and develop staff effectively
- Strong customer service orientation with a passion for hospitality
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems (ToastTab POS)
- Previous experience in supervising or managing teams within a restaurant or bar setting
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
