Job Overview
Frozen Garden is looking for a proactive, versatile, and mechanically-minded Maintenance Specialist to join our team on a fractional basis. This is an ideal role for a skilled retiree, a local tradesperson, or a master tinkerer who enjoys solving puzzles and keeping things running at peak performance.
You won’t just be fixing things—you’ll be the architect of our maintenance systems. You will learn our specialized food production equipment, create recurring maintenance schedules, and ensure our facility remains a safe environment for our team.
What You’ll Do
- Equipment Mastery: Learn the ins and outs of our production machines (sealers, freezers, kitchen equipment, commercial dishwasher, etc) using manuals, tech support, and self-directed research (YouTube/forums).
- Preventative Maintenance: Develop and execute a monthly maintenance calendar to prevent downtime before it happens.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues. Perform first-line repairs independently and identify when a major repair requires an external specialized company.
- Facility Care: Handle general upkeep including light plumbing, electrical (LEDs/ballasts), and shelving.
- Special Projects: From time to time, you’ll have the opportunity for additional hours to lead specific projects, such as annual painting touch-ups, facility upgrades, or deep-system optimizations.

- Reliability: You are comfortable managing your own schedule and providing clear updates to the leadership team.
