Ice Cream Artistry 101
Ice Cream Artists will greet and assist guests, help them craft their frozen treats, take and make ice cream orders, prep and stock the fruits, candies, and various toppings on the topping bar, make waffle cones, dip strawberries, make yogurt and custard ice cream, work the register, and keep the store clean. Ice Cream Artists will become experts on all our frozen yogurts, custards, Frosty Dreams and Perfect Peaks and be able to make the most amazing edible art. Ice Cream Artists will walk customers through the ordering process and craft frozen treats. Ice Cream Artists ensure a great experience at Frosty Peaks!
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Fluent in English
- Able to bend, stoop, and lift plates, utensils, racks, food products, and supplies on high and low shelves and work surfaces
- Reading, memorization, writing and verbal communication skills required
- Capable of using telephone, cash register and order tablets, basic appliances, and other food preparation equipment
- Mobility (standing, stooping, bending, reaching, etc.) required during the entire shift
Essential Job Functions
- Regular attendance and compliance with employee handbook and training manuals
- Interact with co-workers in a friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner (i.e., a warm smile and sincere greeting)
- Greet guests, prepare orders with accuracy and efficiency in order to satisfy guests
- Answer phones for orders, accurately take orders, ring-up orders
- Understand and executes orders using proper procedures and adheres to specifications
- Perform basic food preparation
- Perform basic dish washing, cleaning, and sanitization practices
- Place and pick up cases or bags of food, pots & pans, dishes, prepped food, cases of relevant delivery items, other misc. items on high and low shelves
- Maintain and deliver all “backups” at proper temperature to appropriate area
- Operate all restaurant and kitchen equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Practice proper food safety and food handling measures at all times
- Maintain safe & sanitary prep and work areas
- Clean and organize restaurant as directed by Management as per daily, weekly, and extra cleaning schedules and in accordance with local and state laws
- Label, date and rotate all prepped items in accordance with Shelf Life specifications
- Organize and put away daily deliveries in proper storage areas

This is a non-exempt position that reports directly to the manager or supervisor on duty.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies, and repetitive hand and wrist motion; working with and around hot, cold, and hazardous equipment in a fast paced and congested environment that will occasionally be loud, hot and/or physically demanding.
