Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Traffic Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians around construction sites. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment when necessary. The Traffic Controller will work closely with construction teams to facilitate smooth operations while prioritizing safety.
Responsibilities
- Direct and manage traffic flow around construction sites to ensure safety for workers and the public.
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate paving activities and other site operations.
- Maintain clear communication with team members and site supervisors regarding traffic conditions and any potential hazards.
- Monitor site conditions and report any issues that could impact safety or efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols on-site.
- Requires travel. If overnight is required company provides housing and pays per diem.
Experience
- Previous experience in a construction environment is preferred.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining focus on individual responsibilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing site conditions.
