What You’ll Do
- Prepare monthly/quarterly reports, both internal and external, for the bank's portfolio of securities to include reporting for ALCO, Cash Flows, and Call Reports
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Manage deposit and securities accounts at FHLB, including monitoring activity for CRA group
- Process margin calls for mortgage-backed securities trades
- Review and ensure accuracy in the booking of transactions and in investment portfolio reports, resolving discrepancies as needed
- Provide research and documentation for external Auditing and Regulatory agencies
- Validate the content and accuracy of critical management reports generated by Bond Accounting system for the investment portfolio and provide to auditors on an annual basis
- Review Bond Accounting system periodic updates for impact on portfolio accounting or reporting and continually assess processes for more efficient methods of portfolio monitoring
- Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2 years financial reporting experience
- Experience with fixed income securities
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Reconciliation and research skills
- Proficient in Microsoft computer applications, specifically Excel
