Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Controller to join our growing team. This is a key leadership role within the organization and will work closely with executive leadership to help manage the company’s accounting, financial operations, reporting processes, and internal controls. The ideal candidate is an accountant by trade with strong operational instincts, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This individual should be comfortable rolling up their sleeves, digging into data, improving processes, and helping build scalable financial infrastructure to support continued growth. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, solving problems, and wearing multiple hats within a growing company.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting
• Maintain accurate and timely financial statements
• Assist with cash management and operational finance responsibilities
• Assist with various admin, HR, and people operations responsibilities as needed to support the business
• Help develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Identify process improvement opportunities and help close operational and financial risk gaps
• Coordinate and support external financial reviews and audits
• Work cross-functionally with operations, warehouse, and leadership teams
• Assist with inventory and operational accounting processes
• Support system improvements and accounting process automation initiatives
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax filings, and regulatory requirements
• Help create a scalable accounting and finance infrastructure to support continued growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within e-commerce, consumer products, manufacturing, distribution, or related industries
• Experience supporting financial reviews or audits is required; experience leading the process and managing auditor relationships is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual-based accounting
• Experience managing month-end close and reconciliations in a fast-paced environment
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems and operational workflows
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt within a growing business
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Self-starter with a proactive, hands-on mindset
