What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trademark & Copyright Associate (International) position at Fross Zelnick Lehrman & Zissu?
Fross Zelnick Lehrman & Zissu, P.C., an internationally recognized New York City law firm specializing in intellectual property law, is currently seeking a qualified associate to add to its highly ranked International practice group. Writing samples and law school transcripts should be provided with any resumes submitted.
In addition to meeting the below criteria, the ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience working in a dynamic and well-rounded trademark/copyright practice, specifically experience dealing with issues related to management of global brand portfolios, including handling international trademark clearance and prosecution, multi-jurisdictional disputes, and relevant agreements including licenses and coexistence agreements, as well as experience with due diligence projects concerning IP aspects of major corporate transactions.
- Graduate from top-tier law school, with excellent grades
- Demonstrated interest based on background/experience at a top firm
- Demonstrated passion/interest in trademark and/or copyright law, including presentations/writings
- Excellent reasoning, research, writing, oral and interpersonal skills
- Member in good standing of New York bar
- International trademark or copyright experience preferred
- Base compensation range is $182,000 to $194,000
- Plus an additional bonus component
