Position Summary
Frontpoint Health is a fast-growing home health agency committed to delivering personalized, high-quality care. We're currently seeking experienced and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team and help patients recover safely and comfortably in their homes.
Responsibilities:
- Assists the supervising OT and the physician in evaluation the level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests.
- Guides the patient in the use of therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities to improve functioning.
- Observes, records, and reports to the supervising OT and the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's condition.
- Instructs patient, significant others, and staff in the areas of therapy in which they can participate to assist the patient.
- Visits patient according to Plan of Treatment; completes a progress note for each visit; and submits progress notes to the agency on an at least weekly basis.
- Participates in developing the plan of treatment.
- Participates in staff conferences and committees as necessary.
- Attends all education and in services as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently licensed by the Texas board of Medical Examiners to assist in the practice of occupational therapy under the supervision of a licensed Registered OT.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a licensed OTA.
- Current driver's license; with current automobile insurance.
