Director Of Pharmacy Operations Role
Director of Pharmacy Operations will oversee the operations of a busy pediatric specialty pharmacy, managing a team of pharmacists and technicians.
Requires one with strong operational leadership skills, business acumen, and the ability to drive team performance in a complex, high-touch environment.
Manage daily pharmacy operations, including workflow, productivity, and staffing.
Supervise and mentor a team of pharmacists and technicians to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant medication delivery.
Oversee preparation and dispensing of prescriptions for complex pediatric patients.
Manage non-sterile compounding processes (creams, oral solutions, low-risk compounds).
Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations.
Collaborate with leadership to support business growth and operational improvements.
Operate independently with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Director Of Pharmacy Operations Background Profile
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy
Current license (unrestricted) in TX
2 years of operations experience in Pharmacy setting
Proven management experience in a pharmacy setting (hospital, long-term care, retail with multi-pharmacist operations).
Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, workflow optimization, and team development.
Experience With Pediatric Or Specialty Pharmacy Operations Preferred.
Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a busy and fast-paced environment
MS Office Suite – specifically Word and Excel
Experience with Framework software or DocuTrack software is a plus
Knowledge of non-sterile compounding processes.
Ability to lead a team and make operational decisions independently.
