JD - POSITION SUMMARY:The primary responsibility of the Certified Non-Destruct Test Technician Level 2 is to test and inspect parts and assemblies for defects using automated and manual methods and techniques, including radiography, ultrasound, penetrant, eddy current, and laser shearography and magnetic particle.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Adherence to safety procedures/guidelines at all times.Maintain safety precautions at all times.Keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition.Perform specific inspections and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and to record results.Perform NDT Examinations in conjunction with receipt and in-process inspections on material purchased for use in fabrication.Familiar with the tools and equipment, and shall have demonstrated proficiencyin their use.Capable of determining the calibration status of inspection and measuring equipment is in proper condition for use, and that inspection, examination and test procedures are approved.Capable of assisting production in the set-up of material and/or components for receipt inspection, as required.Train other individuals as required by managementMINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Must be qualified to be certified as a Level 2 to NAS 410 in one or more of the following NDT Methods that will be utilized:Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI).Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI).Certifications MUST be current.Ability to communicate, read, and understand English.Ability to read blueprints/drawingsAbility to follow precise instructions.Ability to work around hazardous chemicals.Must have excellent hand/eye coordination.Ability to work well with others as part of a team.Able to multi-task and open to working overtime.
