Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic
Duties
- Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of meals, ensuring all dishes meet quality and presentation standards
- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting new recipes and seasonal offerings based on dietary needs and customer preferences
- Handle food with care, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent contamination
- Serve meals efficiently while providing friendly, attentive customer service to guests or residents
- Participate in food handling activities including portioning, plating, and packaging for catering or daily service
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal preparation times and optimize kitchen workflow
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within the food industry or restaurant settings
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling best practices
- Skilled in culinary techniques including knife skills and food presentation
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures
- Experience in catering or serving roles is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
