What you can expect as a Product and Training Manager:
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Product and Training Analyst team by providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new system releases, ensuring comprehensive scenario coverage and timely defect resolution.
- Manage post-deployment support, troubleshoot escalated issues, and ensure effective resolution.
System & Workflow Management
- Oversee IT ticket management by monitoring progress, ensuring timely resolution, and maintaining workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and cross-functional teams to identify and implement system enhancements and workflow improvements.
- Ensure optimal utilization of Guidewire’s Policy Center and other platforms across Personal Lines Underwriting.
Training & Knowledge Management
- Assist in creating and delivering training programs for new products and system functionalities.
- Provide first-line training, guidance, and coaching to trainers to ensure accurate and up-to-date practices.
- Build and update underwriting training manuals for Personal Lines as new products and states are introduced.
Compliance & Product Accuracy
- Work with Compliance to confirm rating accuracy in Policy Center and ensure all new products and updates meet state compliance requirements.
- Partner with IT to verify correct implementation of new products and updates as required by Underwriting.
Stakeholder Engagement & Analysis
- Facilitate requirement meetings as a senior Subject Matter Expert, representing team interests and insights.
- Analyze team findings and feedback, prepare recommendations, and present them to senior management to drive product and process improvements.
What we are looking for as a Product and Training Manager:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); additionally, any undergraduate education desirable, or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- API, CPCU or other insurance industry designation is preferred.
- IT/Business Analyst or Underwriting Background preferred.
